Kenya June - weather

I'm planning ahead to 2012 and trying to fit in a trip utilising the June bank holidays in the UK.

Does anyone have experience of a safari in June in Kenya?

Our June trip there in 2004 was wonderful. Nary a drop of rain. Granted a small sample size but I certainly would not shy away from a trip there in June.

Were the tracks/roads passable after the rains?

Was there for a week in mid June 2008. Sunny blue skies, cool mornings and great viewing with no Mara traffic .......

Am often there in late-May/early-June and not much rain, if any. Some roads might be muddy in Reserves/Parks, but won't inhibit safari.

June is at mid-season rates, so an ideal time to visit; also less visitors. If as fortunate as I was last year, the "migration" started to arrive early (or some of it as not all game move at same time) which surprised many who were there - a bonus!

Depending on how many days you have, there are many choices of where to visit and accommodations at all budgets. Great time to get the luxe properties at very competitive pricing.
