Kenya in December?

We want to go to Africa over Christmas this year. However, we don't like to go to any destination during the most crowded season, nor when the weather is bad (too rainy or too hot). We are flexible as to where in Africa, having only been to Egypt before. Is Kenya a good place to go during Christmas? From what little I have gleaned on various chat sites, the weather would be OK but this is a very crowded time. What destinations in Africa would be good (not the highest of crowds, not terribly hot or rainy weather)?

December is a fine time to visit Kenya. As for it being crowded - well, considering that overall tourism in Kenya & Tanzania is down, it's possible that over the Holidays it might not be as crowded as prior the world turbulations and travel warnings. Yet, Europeans might travel here sooner than Americans. But Christmas time is when most people take vacations, prices go up from Dec 15 on, so regardless where you select to travel, it's not likely to be devoid of people, anywhere.
