Israel trip suggestions - June 2004

Am planning trip to Israel with 2 teenage daughters in late June. Looking for deeply discounted airfare suggestions from Midwest, travel advice, etc. Pretty lucky in that have much family there and will be using family member who is professional tour guide. Need to come up with list of must-see sites. Thought of usual stuff, Masada, Negev, Bethlehelm, Haifa, Jeruselam, Eilat, etc. Any other suggestions? Any museums, other stuff "off the beaten path'? Any suggestions for traveling with 2 teenagers (especially girls)? Thanks in advance for help!

Try Air Canada which flies from Columbus to Toronto to Tel Aviv. I have found those flights to be well priced.

You should try Consolidators, usually found listed in the Travel Section of your week-end newspaper. Some that you can consider (have websites for some, others only phone #s):

Do All Travel (718) 972-6000
Travellers Choice (212) 868-8698
A Sure Bet Travel (732) 905-0644
Premier Travel (check their airfares)
at www.premiertours.com
Cheap Tickets - check for website
LowestFares - check for website
Gemini Tours (212) 921-0301

Can't guarantee these are all active (still in business) or can provide exactly what you need, but have used all of the above at various times and have gotten excellent airfares.

Try them.

I use an agent from Cleveland. If you would like the number and details I can email you if you supply you email address.

Has anyone heard of AirConsolidators.com? I found a 50% savings over Air Canada but am nervous to send my credit card info to site I never heard of. They belong to an organization called International Airlines Travel Agent Network and sent them a query about this company (and also asked what sort of consumer guarantee does the membership provide?). You can send e-mail to [email protected]. I would also be interested in getting Cleveland travel agent info. Thanks!
