Thanks Thyra and Pat for posting your safari news. I have been to East Africa 5 times and my husband once. We went to Botswana 2 years ago and I was there one time without him with Earthwatch. We are Africa freaks now and want to go back to East Africa and Botswana again. Just found 2Africa's website this week and have emailed asking about Botswana. Ken Hieber, the President, emailed me yesterday (Sunday) and is getting ready to post a Botswana trip on the site soon. We hope to go back either this fall or next spring. The question is which one first. Thanks again. How wonderful your trip sounded. Liz

Wow.. if 2Afrika starts offering Botswana, I definatly will be travelling again. Kavey is the Botswana expert... Yeah, I have to agree once you get into Africa.. it's like a delicious addiction... Oh, one of the things I really REALLY liked about 2Afrika and the lodges and companies they worked with that I failed to mention in my trip report, is that they strive to use eco-friendly providers and to support conservation and provide jobs to the local population. The lodge we stayed at in Masai Mara, Mara Sopa paid a doctor, to treat their guests should any require medical attention, (which is very unusual) but when he wasn't working he went to the local villages and offered them medical services either for free or whatever they could afford. He was able to do that because of the lodge and the lodge helped to support that.

Not a Botswana expert... have only been the once, (aiming to rectify that but realistically, now i have taken redundancy and am self employed it wont be till 2004 ) - just a Botswanaphile and Namibiaphile!!

Always happy to answer the few questions I can help with, but only stayed in 3 camps in Botswana, Little Mombo, Little Vumbura and Chitabe Trails.

Would love to share any photos with anyone of Africa...

If anyone wants to see any of mine, do email me.
