Oh I bet that cup of tea at home tasted good, Ann.
I usually bring Yorkshire Tea back with me from England, but on our trip to Cape Town 2 years ago I did fall in love with Rooibos Tea so bought two large packages at the VandA Waterfront mall (PIck and Pay I think)when we were there this month! It is so nice that every 20 teabags are wrapped and sealed in foil.

Glad you got your eles! So how many dogs and donkeys do you have? Thanks for explaining train spotting. I won't be taking it up soon. SA is in July for me. You have a wonderful report.

thanks to you all for yoru very kind words. It did get to be a bit a chore towards the end, but I'm glad I did it.

I will continue to frequent this board as I'm hooked on africa - south africa at any rate. so ally, I'll be happy of course to try to help with any queries.

philbill - I'm sorry that I certainly did not take to the Rooibos tea. we had to resort to it once or twice when the "proper" tea ran out, and i couldn't get used to it.

travellynn - I'd love to be going back next year, like you and ally are. We'll probably be sticking to Europe though, to try to fit in with family etc.

we are a bit like noah's ark - 2 of everything

dogs, donkeys, snakes, budgies, and 7 chickens.

good luck to you all with all your travels,

regards, ann

Ann: No, not SA so return to your healthy Cornish peaches and cream complexion!!!!
My mum is in North Yorkshire and we see quite a bit of her. The worst part of going is having to get another flight up to Manchester once I have arrived in London.
However, after flying Cape Town to London and two hours later London to Los Angeles just last month it should seem like a breeze!!!

philbill,

i was in saninsbury's today and thought of you!

Instead of my normal tea, they had acres of Rooibos. yes really. Do the higher-ups in sainsbury's expect and influx of South africans in Truro that they haven't told anyone else about?

Have a great time in Yorkshire.

regards, ann

How funny!!!! My mum likes Asda and Morrisons for supermarkets. I will look for Rooibos there (if we get there). My sister seems to be tied up all the time I am home and she is heartbroken about it. I didn't think to check with her as I can't fly without the upgrade to the beds so the dates of flights available determine my visit. It's a matter of my niece having horrific dental work (wisdom teeth) and a weekend arranged with a friend that cannot be altered because the rail tickets are non-changeable, and taking my mum to London (who has wanted to go back and see the sights!!!!!). Nothing is ever simple!!
Wish we were coming to Cornwall...haven't been there since I was a teenager!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
