Thanks for all that input. We have our flights booked for April next but I'm still contempalting which system to follow as each seems to have its advantages.

Hi all!

I have been so busy that I have not had time to respond.
I must say that I would never go on a participatory safari. The tents, food and experience would not be as good to me! Some people would love it, but for me - I want to be pampered as much as possible, but still be close to nature.

Karibu had gourmet meals every single day, brunches, snacks, etc. They even used table cloths and candles at night.
Wine with every dinner.

Having your own veranda and full bathroom inside your tent is wonderful!
Hot water on demand is the best!
I wouldn't want to share the shower or toilet with anyone. We also had real beds!!
If you want creature comforts and luxury, you must go with Karibu's Livingstone or even A&K's Hemingway (which is even more opulent!)..
