Jumeirah Beach Hotel or Mina a Salam? Anyone help me with some ???s

We are hoping to travel to Dubai in February with our two children aged 7 and 10. I have always wanted to stay in the Jumeirah Beach Hotel as it is heavily geared towards families with younger children. However, the brand new Mina a Salam next door sounds gorgeous and, I believe, is less busy than the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. We plan to utilise the kids program at some point during our 7 night stay - does anyone have any info about the club (and children's facilities in general) at the Mina a Salam? As a guest of one Hotel, is it possible to use the facilities of the other and is it far to walk between them? Thanks.

The Mina Salam, Jurmeiah, and Burj-al Arab are all under same ownership. They surrond the Wild Wadi Water Park.We took our 7&9 year olds there and spent 3 nights at jureimah then 5 at the Burj.We tried to switch back to jureimah but all was booked. The mina salam is beautiful and you can use the jumeirah facilities though not the Burj. There are golf carts that will transport you back and forth all day.You can walk from one to the other in 3 minutes.

Unfortunately, Mina a Salam is getting more crowded by the day since it has a shopping boulevard and restaurants. I suggest its a great spot to spend a day shopping and dining but not staying at. Jumeira Beach stays to be a good hotel especially geared towards family and children. Bon voyage.
