Jordan transport recommends
 

Looking for a good tour company or car and driver - we'll be there for 5 nights.

I took a tour of Egypt/Jordan with Lady Egypt and it was great. I bet they can help you with a Jordan only tour.

We used Desert Horizon out of Amman and they were excellent - highly recommend our driver Bashar Herzalla - here is their website

Did you join a tour with deserthorizon, or were you able to rent a car and driver from them and do your own tour? Thanks.

Desert Horizon booked our hotels, provided the car, driver and a guide for a private tour.

Did you go to the DH's 'rent a car' page and only rented a car and driver from DH and then gave them your desired itinerary? On their 'tour operator' page it seems like the only choices are predetermined tours that I have to select from and I'm not sure I want to do that.

(Anyone else who had used Desert Horizon please reply also if you can.)

Axel2DP - DH was booked via our guide in Cairo so I can't comment on the website options, although I did look at the tour operator pages and think those tours can be easily customized if you email them directly. We changed our itinerary while we were there.
