Jordan planning Sept 2021

Hi all planning to hit up a week in Jordan mid-September. Looks like a solo trip as a female. Have done plenty of solo traveling before just not in the Middle East. I haven't planned an itinerary yet but I've heard it's best to book packages and tours when in Jordan as it's much cheaper. Any advice or tips on that? Flying in and out of Amman to the UK. Petra is highest on my list of course and I plan to spend two solid days there. Maybe a night in Wadi Rum. Skipping the Dead Sea as did that in Israel.

We stayed at the Movenpick Resort Petra which is basically right across the street from Petra. Easy walk over to explore.

We also stayed at the Movenpick Hotel next to Petra. Highly recommend it especially for it’s location.
Add the following to your itinerary in addition to Petra:
Ancient Jerash, The Citadel in Amman, mosaics in Madaba, Mt. Nebo where Moses saw the Promised Land.

Thanks! I'm astonished how pricey it is to stay in the nearby hotels!

Amman was expensive especially arriving from inexpensive Egypt.

I thought Amman was entirely underwhelming....
