I read a post of your where you mention the hotel had arranged for a car and driver, would you know the cost? By any chance do you have the driver's contact information? I am planning a trip to Jordan in 2010. I am interested in Petra, Wadi Rum and the Dead Sea. Any information you can provide will be appreciated.

Sorry, I don't have the driver's info. I don't even remember the name of our hotel (duh)! But the hotel arranged him for us - and we used him for two days. I'm thinking we may have paid about $40 for the day.

Thanks Karen, I am still working on the Jordan itinerary for my upcoming trip.

BTW, your Egypt report is fantastic, it made me WANT to go Egypt even more, and that where I will be next year!
