Johannesburg Airport--Lockers Available?

We might like to leave some things to be sure our bags pass the weight limit for small planes on our safari. Does anyone know if there are lockers available?
Thanks.

I'm not sure about lockers, but J-Burg Airport does have inexpensive luggage storage (at least they did two years ago, when we headed out on safari). Just look for one of the guys with a big luggage cart--he'll give you a claim ticket and take your luggage off to wherever left luggage lives there. We had no problem finding him (or getting our luggage back).

Have a fantastic time on safari!

I don't know anything about "guys with a big luggage cart," but there is a left luggage (storage) facility. As of a year or so ago, it was in the international terminal, one floor below the arrivals level. You had to take the central elevator (or stairs) to get there,

We used this facility with no problem. We shrink-wrapped our bags first, at the airport, to prevent pilfering. Then brought the bags downstairs to the storage area in the basement.

We were fine. However I have read reports of theft from bags at this storage area so do not leave valuables and make sure the bags are as secure as possible.

Likewise, do not have anything of value or looks like value on x-ray, electronic widgets, in luggage. Even if not storage, just airline flights at JNB. Happened to me and have heard first hand stories.
