Jo'burg to Capetown

Hi,
I will be travelling in South AFrica in December with a group then with a few classmates. What is the safest and cheapest way to get from Jo'burg to Capetown? I've heard the blue train is very expensive. Is there a 2-3 day tour that could take us along the coast from Jo'burg to Capetown? Thanks

You might want to look up details of the Baz Bus which I believe is excellent for budget travellers looking for transport through SA that stops at all the main tourist destinations...

Your best bet for JNB/CTN is to fly - try the budget airline kulula.com.
If you want the scenic route or a drive along the coast then you first need to get to the coast from JNB. Check with Cityliner or Greyhound for a bus service between Port Elizabeth and Cape Town. The thing is that your flight to PE will cost about the same as a flight to Cape Town.
