Tipping & Currency in Botswana
We're going to Botswana in August and I would like to know what currency I should take with me, and approximately how much I will need. We are flying from Livingstone to Stanley's Camp for three nights, and then flying from there to Chobe Chilwero for three nights. Both are full board & include activities, so I would imagine that the only money we will need is for purchasing small items/souveniers from the shop at the camps, and for tips.
My questions are
1. What currency should we take? Is euro OK? will this be accepted in the camp shop? Will it be OK to tip in euro or do we need Pula?
2. How many people do we need to tip (whom?) Porters, maids, waiters, guides?
3. How much should we tip each person?
Thanks!
