Jambo from Nairobi

I have a little free time so i thought i'd say hello.I'm already 6 weeks in and so far it has been great. The gorilla tracking was without a doubt the best wildlife experience i could ever have.Uganda is amazing and i enjoyed Rwanda as well.

The Donkey trek was better than i even expected and the wedding in the Mara was great. There were still lots of wildebeest and Zebra around but Kenya in incredibly dry which did make for very good game viewing.

The coast was also good and if you have been to Lamu you will understand how great it is.

We head to Kili tomorrow and i will have many great stories when i return. We sat around a water hole for over an hour in Tsavo watching the drama between a rhino, jackal, buffalo and some elephant. It was awesome.

Will add more later.

Sounds good so far - can't wait to hear all the details when you return!

I was just thinking about you and your extended stay/wedding/honeymoon in east Africa. Congratulations!

Good luck on Kili.

Enjoy the rest of your trip, and I hope we hear more (and see photos?) when you return.

Thanks for the update! Where did you stay in Tsavo? Can't wait to hear more.

Thanks DLO,

I’m looking forward to hearing more about your trip. I would have liked to see that rhino.

Hey one more quick update. We took the shuttle to Arusha today and it is bone dry.Of course it started to rain as soon as we got to Arusha as it does every time i'm here.

We stayed at the serena in tsavo and the waterhole action was great.I don't mean to tease you with the rhino story but it is a good story but will keep till i get back.I will post a full report when i get back as long as i get feedback and people remain interested. It will be long!

I wanted to add that Great lakes safaris in Uganda was awesome and i will use them again when i return as i am addicted to gorilla tracking.

Samburu Trails for thew donkey trek was also great but Kenya Wildlife trails left alot to be desired.I just started with Tropical Trails but they seem great so far and they are the provider for the Adventure Company in the UK.I am positive foxes will be outstanding in the south.

More details later

Glad to hear that the gorilla trek was so amazing, I'd really like to do that soon, and the comment about Great Lakes is very helpful! Enjoy the rest of your trip!

Hey thought i would post once more as i am taking a couple of days to recover from kili.
I made it to the top and arrived in time for sunrise. It was very hard but i was very luchy as i suffered no altitude sickness except for a minor headache the last night. The guides were amazing and i am looking forward to taking them out for dinner tomorrow. They knew there stuff and are very fun guys as well.I can easily recommend Tropical Trails for a Kili climb.

Thanks everyone for your replies and will either check back tomorrow or in March.
