itinerary questions East Africa

We will be at Amboseli for 2 days. We then will cross the boarder into Tanzania and stop at Arusha for lunch. We then will drive on to Swala Camp in Tarangire. Is this too long a day? How long will it take to get to Arusha from Amboseli? I am wondering if we should stay overnight in Arusha.
Also on our last day we will be at the Serena in the Serengeti. We plan to fly to Arusha and change planes back to Nairobi. Does anyone know how long we will have between flights and more importantly, what time we will arrive in Nairobi?

Traveling from Amboseli via the Namanga border, drive to Arusha with lunch here and continuing to Tarangire is easily done in one day. No need for an overnight in Arusha.

From Amboseli (departing after breakfast) to Namanga is about 2-hrs, then about 1-hr to Arusha... arriving by 1pm latest. Figure about 1-hr for lunch, then from here to Tarangire is another 2-hrs. You will easily reach Tarangire for your afternoon game drive on way to Swala.

The flight from Seronera departs at about 10-10:30am (maybe earlier, or a bit later). If no stops, at say, Lk. Manyara to deposit or pick-up passengers, it is less than an hour to Arusha... with stops a little longer. The flight to Nairobi departs Arusha at 1:45pm; arriving Wilson domestic in NBO at 2:45pm.

The schedule you show is ordinary and certainly doable. You have more than sufficient time to Tarangire and from the Serengeti/NBO.

We did both (Amboseli to Tarangire and Serengeti to Arusha/Kilimanjaro to Nairobi for our flight home) on our trip in December.

On the Amboseli to Tarangire portion, we stopped for a picnic lunch at the Tarangire entrance - a bit of time out of the car before continuing on our game drive and going to the lodge (we stayed at Kikoti).

From the Seronera air strip in the Serengeti (we stayed at the Serena) we arrived in Arusha around 11:45am. We had a day room at Kigongoni (which is between the two airports) before our 7pm Kilimanjaro to Nairobi flight. This worked perfectly and allowed us to hang out at the pool and shower before our LONG flight home.
