Israeli Theatre and Dance

Shalom.

My wife and I will be in Tel Aviv the 2nd week of July. Where might I find information on the theatre and dance scheduled for that week?

Thank you.

The most comprehensive list is at: http://www.habama.co.il/index.asp
Also at : http://www.omanut-laam.co.il/english/home.asp

The only caveat is you need to be able to read Hebrew…

Eli gave you great information, but of course, as he mentioned, the drawback is that the sites are in Hebrew. I'll gladly translate the information for you if you could be a little more specific about your wishes.

If you can't read Hebrew, you probably won't be able to enjoy Israeli theater shows -- since they are all performed in Hebrew (or Russian, or Yiddish)...

However, there are plenty of musical performancs, like classical concerts (several fine symphonic orchestras, the famous Israeli Philharmonic is the leading orchestra in Israel), as well as Jazz, pop and rock music concerts.

There are several fine BALLET groups performing there as well.

Israel (Tel Aviv mostly) has a wide variety of art museums, galleries, and art shows.

BTW, every Friday (till late afternoon) there is the famous art fair at the Nachlat Binyamin Midrachov in downtown Tel Aviv (next to the Carmel open market), a great opportunity to buy really nice, original, and inexpensive artifacts and jewelry.

I believe when arriving there, you could find the listing relatively easilly.
