Israel trip hotels

We are thinking about going to israel in March of April and would love some hotel recommendations for Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Main criteria is very quiet neighborhood. Price range under $250 or there about. Would like some place convenient for sightseeing but not in the hustle and bustle. First time trip.

Thanks so much.

The hotels are generally in the hustle and bustle. They don't really put hotels in "very quiet" residential neighborhoods. Perhaps you ought to look at apartment rentals (e.g., AirBNB) for such a thing. In Jerusalem, Rehavia is an example of a quiet residential neighborhood that's very convenient and centrally located for sightseeing. In TLV, you have various quiet residential pockets that are very convenient for sightseeing basically east of Ben Yehuda St, west of Ibn Gavriol St, south of Gordon or even Arlozorov, and north of Rothschild.

Keep in mind that both TLV and Jerusalem are densely populated cities with a lot of mixed zoning where people live in mid-rise -- or even high-rise -- apartments and there are markets, stores, bars, restaurants, etc. on the streets. Nothing is going to be "very quiet" unless you're looking to stay out in suburbia.

Please be aware that Passover is April 8-16, 2020 and will be very busy and hotel rates generally higher.
Do you want to be in a quiet neighborhood for quiet sleeping purposes?
I believe the Eldan Hotel in Jerusalem, although off of King David Street, is pretty quiet and the location is great.
