three couples visiting Israel in six months. We are considering using just a driver to take us from city to city with perhaps an intermediate stop and then a local guide for each location. This should reduce our costs. Has anyone done this?

How long is your trip ? What are your interests ?

We based ourselves in Jerusalem and hired a driver for three separate days to do day trips and it worked very well. He would have done overnights if we wanted. I think it is a good plan.
