Our family will be in Israel for 3 weeks in August.
I'm concerned about the amount of smoke in restaurants as one child has mild asthma and is sensitive to cigarette smoke.

Do many restaurants have no-smoking areas, or does that situation not exist in Israel?

Thanks for any information.

I am a danish never-smoked guy who is not too sensitive.
I have been to Israel a couple of times the during the past year and can confirm your worries.
People in Israel smoke a lot like most people in the countries around the mediterranean.
I stayed north of Tel Aviv in Herzliya which is a nice beach area and did find restaurants where we could sit without too much tobacco smoke around.

I forgot to include that the problem can be overcome by choosing restaurants with outdoors sitting and serving, and they have lots of these.
