Israel Itinerary--HELP!

We are interested in touring in Jersalem on Sun and Mon July 10th and 11th. We would like to do a 1/2 day on Sat after we arrive on July 9th.
We need to be in Tel Aviv for opening ceremonies on Mon evening July 11th.
We would like to do some day trips out of Tel Aviv on Tues and Wed. We will be staying in Tel Aviv Mon, Tues, and Wed nights.
We want to do the northern area leaving on Thur morning, overnighting somewhere up north on Thur night and more touring there on Fri.
Not sure where to sleep on Fri night.
Go to Masada/Dead Sea on Sat.
Sat night in Tel Aviv.
Flight to US on Sun July 17th.

What do you think of this itinerary?

We are a party of four adults.

Sounds very good.

The questions is, how are you planning to tour all those places. Renting a car (good idea for 4 people)? Or using a guided tour bus. Egged Tour and United Tours have good day tours, and some overnight tours also.

If to elect between the two, I'd go with guided tours. More efficent usage of time, much more to see and be exposed to. All big hotels can get you a reservation on one of the tour bus companies.

I prefer renting a car. the night before climbing masada, get there at the crack of dawn, and the Dead Sea, you should stay at Kibbutz En Gedi. You get all you can eat breakfast and dinner buffet. call them at
08-659-4222. also includes free entrance to their spa. make sure you cover yourselves in mud when you go swimming at the dead sea next to the spa! enjoy! Jed
