Israel in August

Hi- I will be traveling to Israel for a wedding in August which will be held near Natanya. We also would like to stay in Jerusalem. Any hotel recommendations for both those areas with air conditioning? I assume it's going to be boiling hot.

Also, is it possible to go to the Ein Gedi (I hear there are wonderful waterfall hikes) or the Dead Sea as daytrips from Jerusalem, or is too far?

The Moriah Plaza in Jerusalem is very nice and air conditioned. Jerusalem is a short distance from the Dead Sea so from Jerusalem I would definitely recommend going there. Near the Dead Sea, you can visit Masada and the caves where the Dead Sea scrolls were found. This area is one of the "must sees" of Israel. Have fun!

you can stay in either Netanya or Tel aviv-it's only about 20 minutes apart. Netanya might be cheaper, but tel aviv is much more fun. almost all hotels in Israel are air conditioned.Ein Gedi is great-great hiking trails. you should also go up north to the Galilee & Golan. have fun!
