Israel, Egypt Transportation
We are in the earliest stages of planning a trip to Israel and Egypt. We have friends in Cairo who have worked there for 10 years and we will be relying on them for many things but before we inform of our intentions we have some basic questions.
Balancing costs, convenience, and practicality what is the way to get from Israel to Cairo starting and finishing in NY? It theory it does not matter in which country we start or end. Thank you in advance for your answers |
I would say NY - Isreal - Cairo - NY.

Thanks Cold
Turkish Air is the cheapest. We fly them a few weeks ago and they are thirty years behind the times because the offer meals and leg room. |
I would imagine that the time when you go and availability of flights at that moment ( and their costs) would make the decision. Note: There are a number of flights between TLV and Cairo, flown by both Israeli and Egyptain airlines BUT these flights are not usually available on the respective websites. You need to call or use a travel agent.

You might behind the times, I haven't been on an international air carrier from the States to wherever that hasn't served meals (depending on length of flight, can actually be 3 meals) and drinks FOC. Seems only the US carriers across the Atlantic or Pacific don't provide drinks FOC. UA, however, doesn't seem to serve meals on flights to Hawaii, but then it's not an international flight (still domestic). Not sure whether other US carrier to HI provide meals. |
