Israel and Egypt in February

What's the weather like in Jerusalem and Egypt in early February? We are wondering what type of clothing to take with us.

Thanks.

Depending where in Egypt...
Cairo is OK during the day. Usually long sleeve shirts should do it, or even T-shirts, sometimes. However, it can sometimes also get unexpectedly chilly. And it gets colder at night anyway, so better make sure to take warm clothes. It can also get rainy, but never for too long. Alexandria is usually a couple of degrees below Cairo during the day and a couple above at night, but it is more likely to rain over there.
As for the South (Luxor and Aswan), it is warm during the day, but it gets really cold at night. The contrast is striking, and you'd bette be prepared.
Finally, the red Sea area is warmer than Cairo, but not as warm as Luxor and Aswan. It is warm enough for laying on the beach (unless it gets too windy), but the water temperature can be a little cold, but still bearable, even if not for too long. And if you climb Mount Sinai, make sure yoy have very warm clothes, particularly if you do it before sunrise. It definitely gets below freezing up there, particularly in February.
