Is Xmas a good time of year for Morocco?
I'm thinking idly of going away for Xmas and avoiding all the usual Xmas forced habits.
Can anyone tell me about the weather, climate and general appeal of Marrakech in December/ January?
Thanks

If you want to escape Christmas, Morocco is the place to go. Make sure you stay away from the package holiday hotels and tourist restaurants, though.
There's some rain during the winter. Temperatures depend on where you go. South of Agadir, it will still be 20+ C (67+ F). Marrakech and the north can get cold, especially at night. But even Marrakech sometimes gets warm, sunny days in December. Depends where the wind blows from.
As for the general appeal, December is pretty much business as usual in Morocco.
