Their Afghanistan trips look especially interesting! a lot cheaper than I thought - wish I had £1900 to burn right now.

Perhaps Michael can pop into Baghdad when he is in the Middle East in May and report back.

On last evening's (Sat 21st Mar) NBO news they showed this group galavanting thru Iraq. Most of the group were well-seasoned "seniors" - American and Brits. They did show problems with checkpoints throughout delaying much of their sightseeing. And the New York guy, David Chung, quoted in article above, did admit this type of trip was for the adventurous type. Apparently, "not for the fainthearted."

Thanks, I read that on the plane today when I caught up on this weekend's newspapers. As I read the article, I thought about how to visit independently (I'm not one for group tours), but it seems like independent visits to Iraq (except for Kurdistan) are at least a few years away.

Very interesting itinerary, and as Linda mentioned, the price is very reasonable.
