Intersting restaurants in Jerusalem??

Will be in Israel over the holidays and am looking for a few interesting restaurants with high quality food - that offer something different than your basic meat or fish. Even a good vegetarian restaurant would be great!
Thanks!

Mmmmmm...Food in Jerusalem is good. My favorite place to eat is the Armenian Tavern, which is more meaty than vegetarian, but worth a visit just for the ambiance. They have a beautiful tiled fountain, not to mention a million other antiques. And good wine.

It's located inside the Jaffa Gate-Follow the road curving to the right, walk for a few minutes, and it'll appear on your left.

I love Arcadia in Jerusalem!

I cannot recall the name right now, but there is a lovely dairy/parve cafe along Emek Refaim nr the corner of Rahel Imeinu. Very good pasta and salad (esp the ones with julienned courgettes), very generous portions. (Then you cross the street to Max Brenner's for serious gelato).

More of a posh dining, but I was very impressed with the Italian restaurant on what I thought was on Shlomtzion ha-Malka. It is next door to a wine shop, recall the name was something like La Cassia.

I think you are referring to Caffit? If so, I'd agree that it is a different and fun restaurant. You can't go wrong walking along Emek Refaim Street (German Colony) and picking out one of the bistros or restaurants there.

For 2 nights, I'm trying to decide between:

Cielo
Eucalyptus
Cacao
Pini
Sea Dolphin

Am interested in food other than strictly meat/fish options.

Any recommendations??
