Internet risk?
Has anyone booked hotel rooms on south-african-hotels.com? It seems to have much better prices than other sites or individual hotel sites, but i want to make sure when I show up at a hotel in Cape Town they actually have my reservations. Help anyone? I am not using a travel agent, I'm booking everything on my own.

Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?

Use a travel agent and forget the worrying!

YOU CALL the hotel you are interested in (or have made a reservation with) and make/confirm the reservation.

I haven't used that particular site, but I've done internet bookings for our trips to SA for years and years. If you get an e-mail confirmation, you'll be fine. If you don't get one, keep e-mailing, or as a last resort, phone. Phoning is always problematical because of the time difference, so I don't like to do it unless I just have to. But I've always gotten good e-mail communications from the hotels I've dealt with. If a place can't answer my e-mails, I just pick another place.

Tom, what would happen to this forum if everyone decided to respond with a short note that they had no information? |
thit_cho, FWIW, the intent of my first reply was to acknowledge Back2Sabi. To acknowledge their reference to the movie line (Ferris Bueller's Day Off). To acknowledge that their posting is in fact being seen.
And you say - "Tom, what would happen to this forum if everyone decided to respond with a short note that they had no information?" You mean thit_cho like this one you posted here? regards - tom |
