Internet access

I will be traveling in 3 weeks to the Western Cape and I am considering taking a laptop with me so that I can keep in touch with my business while I am away.

I have two questions?

1/ What type of phone plug is used?. Is it the American type or is it the UK type?

2/ I will be mostly staying in Beb and Breakfasts, and while I will have access to phonelines is it possible to register with a South African ISP for a couple of weeks, or are there free ISP's like there are in Ireland where you just pay for the phone call.

Internet cafe's while handy for email are not an option for me.

Thanks,

Bill
