Insight Tours - Egypt/Israel
 

Has anyone travelled with Insight Tours to Egypt & Israel? I'd appreciate any tips/information anyone might have as I am going with them in October. <BR>Ta, Jennifer

Hi Jen, <BR> <BR>Thanks for the response. Yes, it sounds like our trips will overlap. I'm a little nervous about the situation in Isreal also but I spoke to the travel agent and she assured me that if the situation is too dangerous then that portion of the trip would be changed around. I'd just keep checking with Insight over the next week to see if everything is going to go as planned. My travel agent said that she'd keep us posted and call Insight a week before departure to verify that everything is going as planned. If I hear anything, I'll let you know. Hi Jennifer, <BR>I look forward to hearing about your trip! I'm a little nervous about the situation over there lately also. The travel agent that I booked with keeps checking with Insight directly just incase there is a change in our itinerary. But, if things should get worse we wouldn't be taken to bad areas. If you booked through an agency just have them keep checking for you up to the time you leave. I hope you have a great trip! <BR> <BR>Sarah

Gooday Sarah, <BR> <BR>I also am concerned about the situation over there & contacted my Travel Agent also. Insight has apparently contacted their Guides in Israel who say things have calmed down & that the areas we are going to have not been affected. I suppose we'll just wait & see. Sarah, <BR> <BR>Have been on the various Foreign Affairs sites for Australia, USA & Britain who are all recommending that people postpone their travel plans. This weekend is apparently a holiday & they are expecting violence to increase. Four cease fires have been broken so far with the death toll up to 70. <BR> <BR>My cousins flew back from there two days ago & had no problems. <BR> <BR>I'm still trying to remain optomistic!! <BR>Jennifer

It's hard to think about all the bad things that are going on because I'm really excited to be going. I'll be sure to post a report about the trip when I get back.
