Information on Imbali Game Lodge Please

I've looked at the website, but can't find many reviews of it.

It's about 1/2 the price of places like Mala Mala and Londolozi, but how does the experience compare? Any advice would greatly appreciated.

check out tripadvisor.com there are a couple of reviews on this lodge there.

No one around here has stayed at Imbali or knows someone that has? Any input would be very helpful...

I think it is in the western sabi sands and shares game routes with Exeter etc etc., I was at Exeter in August 2006. Good lion and leopard viewing. The lodge itself...i don't know anything about.........

don't think anyone on Fodor's has stayed at Imbali but seems the main complaint from TA is the game viewing. it's on a private concession and the animals are still skittish around safari vehicles. the lodge looks and sounds nice, but perhaps that is why it is about 1/2 price-the game viewing isn't up to par with others in the area.

Just did a search....Imbali is owned by Indian business tycoon Vijay Mallya. Should be good. He believes in the best! His private airlines (Kingfisher) is going to be the best airlines in the sky very soon. Keep a look out for it! Will soon have a non-stop Bombay-NYC service.

Hari-read the reviews on TA. Only complaint was the game drives. Doesn't matter who owns it, if the game isn't there or skittish it's not worth it...trust me, remember my trip report from Caprivi!
