It is a complete shame as to what has come about for the fate for the world's largest cat - the main problem seems to be loss of habitat due to increasing population.
We do read about tiger populations deteriorating in certain parks, and actually on the rise in certain others .....

Although the Indian Government are reluctant to publish the true results it is estimated that ther are probably no more than 3000 tigers in the wild in India. The major populations are the largely non touristy parks in the South.
The future of the Tiger is very bleak indeed.Sad indeed.
