In Sudan, an Animal Migration to Rival Serengeti

I'm going to do some research on the possibilty of visiting this area, but it sounds like it may be at least several years (optimistically) before this area opens to tourists.

Michael, I saw that article this morning in the Times and was interested. But, like you, my guess is that we won't see any real tourism in that area for some time to come. At least we know the civil unrest there did not destroy all the wildlife, which is really good news and suggests that there may be another frontier to explore for wildlife viewing in Africa.

Adrian Carr, Norm Carr's son, told me he used to go hunting in Southern Sudan many years ago. Used to be a good place to go before the civil war. Very interesting culturally, too.

Very interesting article, thit cho.

Take a look at this video in National Geographic news:

"Video of Massive Antelope Herds Seen From the Air in Sudan"

Hopefully we will be able to visit Sudan in the near feature, that would mean that the country is a peaceful territory and maybe the people of Sudan stop suffering from war violence and starvation.
