Flights between Italy and Tel Aviv
I am interested in a round-trip flight between Rome and Tel Aviv for the spring. Can anyone recommend an airline with the best pricing and good scheduling?
Another Italian city besides Rome would be okay too.
Thanks.

Best pricing and good scheduling - er... no.
Best pricing - In April Malev via Budapest or Czech Airlines via Prague (both from Rome) at the moment are around US$450 cheaper than Alitalia's nonstop. The timing, however, is less than ideal, due to the stop(s) in BUD or PRG both ways. TLV is not served by any of the ultra-budget airlines common in western Europe, unfortunately.

I gave up trying to get an affordable open jaw flight to TLV. I was trying to coordinate JFK-FCO-TLV-JFK but that was way too expensive on every airline I checked. I switched to this itinerary JFK-TLV-CDG(Layover Friday and Saturday)-FCO-CDG-JFK. There are more stops and I have to layover in Paris, but the ticket is affordable and I will gladly suffer a few days in Paris.
