I'm going back too
Nearly all arranged, flight bought and oh so excited. A big big thank you to Sandi, Roccco, Climbhighsleeplow, Patty and all the others who have so patiently replied to my questions. I am taking a bit of a risk in going to Tanzania not Kenya in August but in the end I've tried to avoid the crowds rather than be certain of the game. So here's the plan, leaving 17th August
* London - Nairobi - Arusha overnight recovery Mount Meru game lodge
* 4 nights Makoa including 2 nights at Ndarakwai (as you suggested Patti) horse riding and seeing Kilimangaro
* overnight Arusha coffee lodge (thanks climbhigh...)
* 4 nights Nomad northern serengeti : I hope the game don't know the Kenya Tanzania border line and I might catch some of the migration on the Tanzania side of the border near the Mara river
* 5 nights Kempinski Zanzibar : remember I live in the UK and absolutely need a certain amount of sand and sea each year. I wonder if I will be the first on the board to try Kempinski , I've been to one of their properties in Spain and it was lovely
So if this works it might be an interesting way of geing a real Africa experience without the summer crowds. Are there any divers on the board as I wonder what the diving is like..
Now counting the days... Yvonne
