How much time should I allow for Casablanca

I am taking an Intrepid tour that starts in Casablanca. If I arrive into Casablanca at 10am on the day that the tour departs (tour departs at 6pm), will there be things for a few hours before I meet up with the group? Will I be safe as a single female exploring Casablanca, or will I need to hire a tour guide to show me around for the afternoon? My other option is to book a flight that arrives at 3pm, but I'm concerned that I won't get through immigration and to the meeting point on time.
Also, if I have a 7am flight out of Marrakech at the end of the trip, should I arrange a transfer through Intrepid or take a taxi that early in the morning?
Any thoughts are welcomed.

I (female) took the Intrepid tour of Morocco a few years back (click on my name for my trip report). I flew into Casablanca and spent a couple of nights in Rabat before moving back to Casa to meet the group. There isn't that much to do in Casa, given Intrepid will be taking you to the Hassan Mosque.

I am an Art Nouveau fan, so I quite enjoyed walking around and looking at the architecture, and there is Jewish museum I didn't get to. You will be safe, just get a good guide book.

I would probably take the Intrepid transfer, although your last hotel could arrange a taxi for you. I stayed for a few days after the tour ended, and my last hotel took care of my transfer.
