How cold IS the desert?

We'll be camping in the desert (Erg Chebbi and Daya el Maider) in two weeks, i.e., mid-April. How cold are the nights this time of year? And, while we're at it, how warm are the days? Any clothing recommendations?

We were just there last week and spent a night in the desert. It wasn't too terribly cold in the evening. We brought long underwear and did use that to sleep in. They gave us two of the warmest blankets I have ever slept in - they were wonderful, as in the middle of the night the wind did whip up a bit, but we were warm and toasty under our blankets. I am ALWAYS cold, and was worried about being cold in the desert at night but it wasn't a problem.

While we were there, it was probably about 80 degrees during the day, but I assume that can fluctuate.

Not everyone is obviously realizing that a small minority of the world population is still referring to Fahrenheit instead of Celsius when stating a temperature in degrees!

Yes, that was 80 degrees fahrenheit, I guess about 26-27 degrees celsius.
