hours of daylight in South Africa

Hello! We're thinking of taking a 2 week trip to SA (Capetown and Kruger) either Feb-Mar or August. Can anyone tell me roughly what time the sun rises and sets at those times of the year? I keep reading that it's not safe to be out after dark in Capetown especially driving; is that true? Thanks!

February in Cape Town has sunrise at about 06h00 with sunset at about 19h45.
August in Cape Town has sunrise at about 07h30 with sunset at about 18h15

February in Johannesburg has sunrise at about 05h45 with sunset at about 19h00.
August in Johannesburg has sunrise at about 06h45 with Sunset at about 17h45

As far as safety and security is concerned take a look at what is being said in another question about safety presently on this Fodors page. Good advice is being given there.
