Hotel In Petra

I arrive in Petra in evening maybe 9 p.m. or later. My husband wants to stay @ the Movenpick, but I feel it's expensive since we won't be there much. I've looked on the hotel websites, but not sure of the hotels I've seen. I'd like to be fairly close to Petra entrance, can you offer some decent hotels in Petra? I prefer to get recommendations for places to stay from this forum. Not sure about the hotel searching sites. $250 per night @ the Movenpick, for what it is times 3 nights just seems pretty pricey to me.
Thanks

We stayed in the Al Rashid, which is very modest but gets great reviews:

I tell a little more about it in our trip report which you can find by clicking on my name.

We traveled with ECO tours, and their non upgraded choice was the Amra which we were very happy with especially since our package came with both dinner and breakfast. It was a legitimate 3 star with good food and 4 star service.

Also, if you want to try something different, look into the Bedioun Camps. We spent our first night at one near Petra. It was a neat experience for the kids(and me too)
