I didn't realize that you were also interested in Seychelles. We stopped there in November as well. We chartered a boat off Praslin and the captain said that the best water conditions are during the month of April. Really calm and clear.

Also, check out this posting if you haven't seen it... http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...4&tid=34579894

I would suggest chartering a boat. Sailing around between the islands was really spectacular.
Whatever you decide, enjoy your trip!

we just returned form our trip to mauritius. We stayed at the La Plantation Hotel next of Oberoi Hotel. La Plantation Hotel is a disaster. The service the food is awfull. I will never recomend this hotel to anybody.

hi every1,

I am probably looking forward to be there for my honeymoon. Can some one please suggest a good hotel in a budget of around 200 - 300 $ per day.

How many days, would it take to explore mauritius ?

I am also looking forward to go to south east asia. From here.

Any preplanned packages for the same ?

Please suggest

Hi Dhiraj,
Have you checked out http://www.mauritiusmagic.com/
They might be able to help.
We stayed on the East and West sides of the island. We really wanted to explore the southern part though. It looked spectacular from the airplane, but didn't have the time to travel down there. I would suggest being there at least one week and maybe staying at two places so you could see a few of the different areas.
Have fun!
