Honeymoon in Cape Town

We are planning our honeymoon to Cape Town at the beginning of November. Does anyone have good tips for accomodation, food and sightseeing? How will the weather be?

Hi Alex, it is a wonderful time to travel to Cape Town and the beginning of November is right before PEAk tourist season so you will have an awesome time, i can tell you a lot about where you should stay but I am not sure what you would like to spend, if you let me know how much you want to spend i could give you some ideas.

Germanblonde,

I agree with SAGirl1970's suggestions but must warn that the Cape Heritage is situated in between three restaurants and they all share the same courtyard. That means noise! Be aware of this as it could become a problem especially on the weekend.

LeZard Bleu is a great guesthouse.
You will need a car or a taxi service for both Lezard Bleu and Acorn House

Other places to look into that could be deemed as being central in the city and well priced are:

__________

De Waterkant Lodge

Wonderful, comfortable, safe location relative to the city

_________

Redbourne Hilldrop

Very friendly hosts and comfortable, safe venue. You will need a car or taxi service

__________

Cape Cadogan

Fabulous mini boutique hotel; Could be a bit pricey for your pocket

____________

Village and Life

This organisation has some wonderful apartments to let that are all within walking distance from the city and are very well appointed as well as reasonable in price. Be aware that they do not offer breakfast as they are self catering apartments however there are many coffee shops all around the area that you could visit for breakfast.

If you could give us an idea as to what your budget is I am sure that I or someone else on this forum will be able to give you some sound advice with regard to all that you ask.

Hope all of the above helps both of you in planning your Cape Town stay.

Hope the above helps.

Very proudly part of the wonderful nation of South Africa
