Three new images have been added to the Honey thread: with time so the tribute is growing into a fine photographic memory of this great cat. Thanks for all your support.

Didn't want to post on the thread itself but just wanted to say how much I'm enjoying the photos.

I've added another of Charlie Phelps's images to the Honey thread with a cub showing its full "Mohican".

After a short while not having posted any new Honey images I received an email from Judy Wilson with a series of 7 sequential shots of Honey and the cubs - I can't describe them better than she can so I'll use her words:

"I just browsing the posts and came across the news regarding Honey - how sad! This is a lovely idea to create a tribute and I would like to submit these pics. She was sleeping and we were lucky to be the first to find her. These are shots taken in sequence as she woke up and her 3 cubs appeared and joined her... I feel very privileged to had observed her and her family - it was such a great sighting and on the very last game drive we had in the Mara."

Now that's some way to round off one's safari!

The tribute is getting close to the 40 image mark - my great appreciation to all those who have taken part and also spent time looking at the photographs. Thankyou.

Recent pictures of Honey's three remaining cubs. So far so good. Pretty amazing all three are still alive and appear to be doing well:
