I juust watched the video, wow, cool! Tom is a very good video-tographer (or whatever that word is!) he sure held it very steady.

I think the Mara 'lunch-pickins' will have a force x 3 to reckon with, those cubs are good hunters. Swift and sure.

The video made my day. Since we missed seeing Honey's cubs while in the Mara in June it was great to see them now grown and such superb hunters.

Hi again ele13,
Nice to have you check in again,

Here's a picture of me in my two hats: a Swedish blond needs the protection, as Nyamera knows all too well! My eyes were running from the glare of the sun. I was not wearing mascara though. Honey's cubs didn't care!!!

Were you there? Which vehicle? Are you in our pictures? Hit next and previous to see more. I took those pictures. Tom took the video. Lots of video clips there too.

My husband uses Pinnacle Studio to edit and post his videos on-line. I know nothing about this stuff!

What company did you go with? Where did you stay?
I'm just curious,

HI,
Oh my, I don't think I was there that late in the day!!! As we did not see this kill. I was there when they were at the tree but we had to leave as my guide had an emergency call to go back to the base camp.. darn. I KNEW they were going to hunt! Darn!!! Oh what great photos and video. I was alone in a vehicle from Lil Gov's camp wearing an Obama button on my cap. Hey, what video does tom use and what lens are you using. Your photos are GREAT. I still haven't seen mmine but??? dubious. We shall see. YOur color is soooooogood!

Hi ele13 - Rhoda,
I didn't see any Governors' vehicles at the tree the day of the kill, September 7, 2008. You may have been there when we saw the cubs the first day in the Rhino Ridge area. That day there was no kill. I don't recall seeing you, a single person in a Lil’ Governors vehicle wearing an Obama button in her hat on September 5, but there were at least 3 Governors vehicles there while we were there.

The kill happened two days later in the Burrungat Plains, 40 km away and too far for a morning drive from Governors Camps. I doubt that you were there that day. But if you see me on your pictures, we will know.
Thanks for the compliment on my pictures. I'm just using an old Panasonic Lumix FZ-30 camera, waiting patiently for the next upgrade. I didn't get the FZ-50 because there wasn't enough of an upgrade to spend my money on. However, I just got the FZ-28 as a backup. I will take it to Fiji next month to test it. Tom has a HDR-HC7 HiDef 1080i Handycam. You should see the videos on his super-duper HD TV. Oh my, oh my!!!

Safarimama, I’m having problems viewing the videos, but I did manage to see the amazing hat and “cub” photos.
