Herzliyah
Has anyone stayed at the dan acadia in herzliyah. Looking for a place to relax after touring Israel.
Thanks |
I never stayed there. But It used to be one of the most famous hotels in Israel many years ago. This April when I was there my cousin pointed to me the hotel and I remember saying "so this is the famous acadia hotel, is it still a very good hotel ? and she said yes.
That is all I can say. Anyhow the Marina in Hertelia is very pretty and the beach is very nice there. It is a busy area |
Dan Acadia is located right on the beach, has a nice swimming pool and is very close (easy walking distance) to the new Marina and the large Arena shopping mall. The Marina and the mall have many pretty nice restaurants. Very close is also the the area of Herzlia High Tech Center with many extremely nice restaurants (need recommendations?). I think that it is a pretty good choice. And by the way, Herzlia is so close to Tel Aviv that you will be able to grab a taxi and go there whenever you feel like doing it. With today's exchange rate - it is a bargain! It is a good chice!

eri, what's the name of that wonderful, unusual CHOCOLATE restaurant in Herzliyah? It's actually in that High Tech Center you mentioned -- I think... Used to be an industrial area in the old past...
|
Max Brenner! (chocolate)
|
Alex is right!
|
I'm not sure if this is still running or not but I've seen Max Brenner chocolates promotion at the duty free shops at Ben Gurion. I recall it was like buy 3 get one free or something like that.
|
Yes, we've been there 2 years ago and it was quite an interesting place... Of course, if one is a chocolate lover, mmmmm....
But they also have "regular" and very good food, of course. |
Thanks for your replys. Has anyone else stayed at the Acadia?
Recommendations for restaurants will be appreciated. Looking forward to Max Brenner!! |
Restaurants: The best - Segev. It is pricy but their "business lunch" is a very good deal. This, by the way, is true to almost all the restaurants in Israel.
Mina Tomei - a fusion Asian great place. Kyoto - Japanese Ocean - sea food Sebastian - Very nice bistro style Moses - if you miss home. a good upscale hamburger and American style food. White Hall - steaks Kazanki - shrimps (very reasonably priced) Giraffe - fusion, Asian Lehem Erez - Bistro Yakinko Tanaka - expensive upscale Japanese Beni Hadayag - Fish Running Sushi - guess what... Pat Kua - Chinese Odeon - Bistro And more... |
Thanks for the restaurants--not enought time to eat in all - will have pick some.
