JORDAN, SYRIA and LABANNON, looking for a good tour....

operator for an escorted tour. We would like a mid range to luxury tour operator with expertise in this area of the world. We are not interested in camping or budget tours. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Also, which time of year is better to visit, Spring or Autunm/Fall? Thanks for any help.

Hi

can only advise ok UK operators but Cox and KIngs do tours to Jordna and Syria - and also Jordan which can probably be combined

They use top range hotels and you will pay top prices - bewarned !

Kuoni may do something -

Spring is probably best time to visit - i was in Jordan about a month ago the temperatures were in the 40's - I was in Lebanon and Syria in Sep and it was still very hot then

Cox and Kings is on the high-end as prices go. I'd do a search for "tour operators Syrian, Lebanon, Jordan" I'm sure you'll find as I found one for a friend a few years back. Sorry I don't recall who, but their prices were excellent, same hotels as Cox & Kings but cost less.

If I happen to locate the tour operators, I'll post it here.

For Jordan, I have had excellent service from Petra Moon Tours; the cost of a private driver from the border to Petra, two nights in a 4-star hotel, tour guides through Petra for two days and return to Amman, is going to cost us less than $300. Even converted to our South African currency it is very cheap.

Shuayb from Petra Moon has been extremely helpful with suggestions & advice and will custom-design any tour you might want. You can either email him direct at [email protected] or complete the online information form at www.petramoon.com
