Help on best months

We have a choice of Sept or Nov for our safari to Kenya and Tanzania. Please help me with our choice. Is there a big difference between the two--beside cost--if we are going all that way would prefer to spend the extra money for a great experience.

Thank you

For what year? 2005? Just about everything is likely booked as this is high season as the Migration is taking place. If 2006, you have time to plan.

Yes, September would be the prime time to travel, not only for the Migration in Kenya, you have weather is mild during the days. However, the mornings and nights can be downright cold. Being high season though, you will find crowds wherever you visit in both Kenya & Tanzania and, of course, the prices are high.

For travel in November, the migrating herds should be into Tanzania - the northeastern Serengeti. November is the "short" rains season, but in all our trips during this time we've never had more than a brief afternoon shower which settled the dust and created no humidity. Other rain, and it was rare, was overnight. We never got bogged down in mud. But weather is just that - whether is will rain or not.

What is nice about November is that it is shoulder season, most crowds are gone and getting space is easier - prices are lower.

Depending on how you design your itinerary between the two countries, you can get as much bang for less money in November. It's your choice.
