Help needed in Tanzania itinerary for May & hotels

Hi,
We are a family with our two children (aged 7 & 11) from India and we are planning to visit Kenya & Tanzania for 2 weeks in mid May 2010. I would like a few suggestions from Fodorites regarding the itinerary and choice of hotels. We would not like to do too hectic a trip and would prefer to take flights rather than travel 6-7 hrs by road. We are starting the trip with 4 days in Masai Mara followed by the balance 10 days in Tanzania.

For the Tanzania leg, we would like to do the standard Northern Circuit of Ngorogoro 2 days, Lake Manyara 1 day, Serengeti – 3 days.
1. Amongst the hotels that we liked wanted suggestions on the following:
a. Would you recommend Mbalageti resort or Kirawira tented resort for Western Serengeti?
b. Would you recommend Plantation House or Ngorogoro Farmhouse for Ngorogoro/Lake Manyara?
c. Would you recommend Hatari Lodge or someplace similar near Arusha to see the Mt Kilimanjaro and safari-animals in Arusha Nat. Park?Or can we skip this Park since we would be doing Ngorogor/Serengeti anyways?
2. After the 6 days of Northern circuit, we have balance of 3 days and were thinking if we should do a beach location as well. Would you suggest Zanzibar, Saadani National Park or Pangani? All these locations seem really far and not sure if there are direct flights from Serengeti ?
3. Since we would already have done Masai Mara, would you recommend skipping Serengeti altogether so that we could instead do one of the above 3 beach resorts at leisure? Or does Serengeti have something different compared to Masai Mara and certainly should not be skipped?
4. Any resorts recommended for any of the above 3 beach locations?

Hi,
We've decided to go with 6 days of the Northern Circuit (Ngorogoro , Arusha, Serengeti) followed by 3 days in Zanzibar. Needed a few inputs on the overall itinerary:
1. Would any of you know or recommend any of these travel agencies - Duma EXplorers,Galloping Safaris or Bookings Multichoice?
2. Would any of you have stayed or recommend these properties: Ndarkawai Ranch Camp at Moshi & Anna of Zanzibar in Zanzibar?
Thanks!

I've camped on Ndarakwai Ranch on a horseback safari but haven't stayed at the tented camp. Where would that fit into your plans?

BTW Ndarakwai isn't in Moshi. It's in an area that's referred to as West Kilimanjaro which is north of Arusha/JRO/Moshi and between Mt Kilimanjaro and Mt Meru. Drive time from Ndarakwai to Arusha is probably about 2 hours.
