Thanks to all the Fodorites for their comments. Based on the overwhelming love for Phinda and Chobe we changed our trip to:

4 nights Phinda ( 2 north at forest lodge and 2 south at Rock)
3 nights Kirkman

Zimbabwe
2 nights Matesti

Botswana
3 nights Chobe under Canvas
2 nights Sandibe

All this is booked through CCAFRICA (our agent was Wendy) who has been great with email and telephone calls despite my many changes and questions.

Just need to book our return FF flight but have to wait til next week

When staying at Forest Lodge in Phinda, see if you can get Walter as your ranger. He is outstanding !
