Health Risks/Vaccanations In SA

Does anyone get shots or medical vaccinations anymore before going to South Africa. We are planning a trip to Cape Town, Singita and Victoria Falls. We are also thinking about the Rovos Railway for a one/two day trip so any insight on that would be great as well.

I was recently in South Africa and there were no shots/vaccinations required. You might check if Singita is in a malaria risk area, if it is, you will need a prescription for anti-malarial pills.

Vic Falls is a malaria area so you will need anti-malaria medication for there at least. Be sure to get the correct strain for the area. No vaccinations are needed - and you can drink the water in SA!
