Have you stayed at these hotels in the Seychelles?
L'Archipel on Praslin
La Digue Lodge on La Digue
Comments on your stay? Any suggestions for hotels with high quality and tropical charm?
Someone told me about Acajou on Praslin as another hotel to consider. Has anyone stayed here before?
Thanks,
Mike

We went to Seychelles last year but could not make it to L'Archipel in Praslin, since it was fully booked. We went instead to the Paradise Sun resort, which I would not recommend for many reasons.
We then went to La Digue and stayed at la Digue Lodge. Our comments are positive : best hotel in La Digue, good food, good service and atmosphere. However we did not get the room we had booked on the first night (a bit of overbooking...) and had a big fright,as we saw a big spider in our room at night. The same thing happened again in the other room we finally got after one day, but I should mention that both rooms were on the ground floor (and I had specifically asked for a top floor...).
Reception desk employees can sometimes be a bit cold, but we liked the place. We'll certainly go back, but this time I will scream (or beg) for a room on the upper floor!
We also met some people in Praslin staying at the Acajou hotel which tends to advertise heavily with travel agents and web sites. They said the atmosphere was nice but comfort was so-so. Nothing to compare with the Archipel (4 star rating, while Acajou is like a 2 star rating, i.e. tourist class).
