Safarimama, so sorry, I really skim-read the thread and missed your message to me, but have since received yours (and Lynda's) email. Would love, love, love to meet you when you're in London!!!

Hi. LyndaS It has been a while since you helped me so much with my planning of my family safari. So glad that you are going back to Africa again. I have to do that again as well, as the kids are the age that I said we would go back.

So glad that your son can join you, that will be a great memory for all of you.

Have a great time, it sounds like a great trip!

Heather

Just reporting two changes to my itinerary:

Ngorongroro Sopa has been changed to Lemala, while The Mara Safari Club has been switched to Bateleur Camp.

Mara Safari Club was just a little far away we thought, and as mentioned in my original post, so we switched to Bateleur.

And, I wanted to try a smaller intimate camp (Lemala) for one night to see what you guys were talking about!

Very cool trip. Screw the economy. They make some pretty good cat food these days, no? Can't wait for the trip report. Similar itinerary may be next up us.
Richard Boone as Pallidin...who was the actor that played his Chinese pal? So racist...couldn't put that on TV now, thank god.

Leslie,

Had to look this one up as I didn't know it - but Kam Tong played the Chinese bell hop at the Carlton Hotel where Paladin stayed. His real name (in the script) was Kim Chang, but everyone called him Hey Boy.

When are you planning on going?

Heather - good to see you are still on the Africa board - what trip do you have planned with the kids next?
